On that date in 1945 the Charter of the United Nations Organization came into force. It was signed on 26 June 1945 at diplomatic conference in San Francisco by the representatives of 50 founder States of the UN. The UNO is a unique platform for dialog and seeking responses to burning issues of the international agenda. Nowadays no one serious problem is solved outside the UN, whether it be peace and security guarantee, non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, struggle against global terrorism, food and water security, climate change, and so on. 22 years ago at the 47th session of the UN General Assembly the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev stated that, as a peace-loving nation, the Republic of Kazakhstan is able to fully comply with relevant obligations of the UN Charter and usefully contribute in all spheres of activity of this international organization.
