During his stay in the Swiss Confederation in connection with participation in the International Forum «Crans-Montana 96» the President met with UN Secretary- General B.Butrosom-Ghali in Geneva. The meeting was also attended by the President of the International Olympic Committee H. Samaranch, Deputy Secretary-General of UN v. Petrovsky, High Commissioner for Human Rights of UN H.Ayala Lasso, Executive Secretary of the UN Commission zkonomicheskoy I.Bertelo, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent K.Sommaruga, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization G.Obasi and others. During the meeting they discussed ways to improve the UN’s role in solution of topical international problems.
