The Unique book "The Kazakhs. History and Culture "is prepared for printing by the group of scientists and patrons of the country. It consists of 1700 illustrations that reflect the life and experiences of the Kazakhs for the period of 500 years.

The authors collected the illustrations for the book for two years, they have visited many museums and archives in several countries, reports inform.kz.

"The main advantage of this book is an exemplary base. It is widely represented and covers all periods of the history of the Kazakh people, since the time of its creation, from 15th century to 19th century. This, of course, the photographic material of the late 19th beginning of 20th century, when the traditional way still existed. This is the heritage of European and Russian artists and travelers, who, with the use of their observations, recorded and sketched images of the time. Moreover, it is the miniature pictures that depict the life of nomads of 15th and 17th centuries" - said one of the authors, Ph.D. Kanat Uskenbaev.

The old maps and copies of artistic paintings were also used.

Many discoveries have been made during the process of collecting of material. The picture of a young beauty, with hunting bird on the hand, is placed in the book. "There was an idea that Kazakh women did not participate in the hunt. However, this image of the first half of the 19th century, suggests that the Kazakh society was not as enslaved as we are now trying to imagine. This girl is a real image, which was drawn by the famous artist Nickolay Karazin "- said the historian.

Another discovery was made in the field of dance. "For a long time it was believed that there was no Kazakh dance. Today we can say that the dance culture was actually existed, it is illustrated by the drawings of that time, "- said the author.

The well-known ethnographers N. Baygabatova and R. Beknazarov prepared the text content of the book. The book, which was published in three languages, Kazakh, Russian and English, will be released later this month.
