11 years ago the opera "Abylay Khan" by composer and People’s Artist of the USSR Yerkegali Rakhmadiyev was premiered in the Kazakh State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Abay. The following soloists of the theatre played in the performance: Gulzat Daurbaeva, Balapan Zhubaeva, Dina Khamzina, Bakhytzhan Skakov, Shakhimardan Abilov, Talgat Kuzembaev, and to name but a few. Сhoreography — People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulzhan Tutkibaeva, conductors — Nurlan Zharasov and People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bazargali Zhamanbaev.
