109 years ago Kazakh congress was held at Koyandy fair near Karkaraly at the initiative of Alash leaders. Delegates adopted petition which included the following aspirations: cessation of peasant resettlement, establishment of the separate clerical administration for Kazakhs, censorship abolition, introduction of official paper work in Kazakh language, establishment of jury trial, participation of Kazakh delegates in the debates on convocation of the State Duma.
