The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan January 15, 1992 On Science and State Scientific and Technical Policy of Kazakhstan The law defines the basic legal, economic and social conditions and safeguards in order to ensure the functioning of science in the country, as a particularly important for the scope of the universal progress, the free development of fundamental and applied scientific research, protection of the rights of scientists and scientific organizations. The Law defines the most important principles of the state scientific and technical policy and state regulation in the sphere of science and technology; the formation of economic mechanism to improve the efficiency of research; the integration of science and production; in order to ensure the personnel, material and technical support of the science; the scientific intellectual property protection and international cooperation.
