Bayterek is a monument in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, as well as one of the main attractions of the city. The height of installation is 97 meters, and with the ball, crowning the construction, is 105 meters. Diameter of the gilded ball is 22 meters. Low level stretches down the ground for the four and a half meters, where a café, aquariums and the “Bayterek” mini-gallery are situated. One can take the elevator of “Mitsubishi” company to the highest level – into the ball, where a bar and the panoramic hall are situated. Sightseeing tours for visitors are carried out in Kazakh, Russian and Foreign languages. The Monument was built on the initiative of President Nursultan Nazarbaev, as a symbol of capital’s transfer from Almaty to Akmola in 1997.
