According to the law «About National Banks of Kazakhstan» its accountability was set under the President of Kazakhstan, also it was specified that the National Bank is: - Central bank of republic and represented as one of the highest level of banking system (Art. 1 of the law); - Government body, which provides development and carries out a monetary policy of the state, also functioning of payment systems, exercising currency regulation and control, state regulation, monitoring and supervision of the financial market and the financial organizations, state regulation of functioning of regional financial center of the city of Almaty, promotes stability of a financial system and carries out the state statistics.
