86 years ago Idrisov Kabdykarim, famous Kazakh poet, was born.
His first collection of poems “Omir guli” (“Flower of life”) was published in 1955. He is the author of the following books for children: “Zhasyrynbak” (“Hide-and-seek”) and “Arkashan kun conbesin” (“May the Sun always shines”). In his poetical collections “Shuakty kunder” (“Sunny days”), “Armysyn, Arabstan” (“Hello, Arabstan”) and others he glorified heroism and courage, friendship and love. Many poems became songs. He translated into Kazakh language works of O. Gonchar, F. Lorka, poems by Pushkin, Lermontov, Shevchenko, N. Khikmet and so on.
In Almaty on the wall of the house on Dostyk ave. where he lived and worked memorial tablet was placed. In Aktogai region where K. Idrisov was born on of the secondary schools was named after him. Every year in schools and libraries Idrisov’s readings, artistic meetings and exibitions of books are organized.

89 years ago Nauryzbayev Khakimzhan Yesimkhanovich was born. He isthe first professional Kazakh sculptor, one of the founders of national monumental art in the Republic, Prizer of the State Award, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Art of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, memeber of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He was born in Kostanai region. Graduated from Kharkov Art Institute.
Work experience: 1952-1954 — President of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan; 1961-1965 — member of the Committee on the Lenin Prizes; 1959-1965 — member of the board of the Union of Artists of the USSR, lecturer at the Almaty Art School.
He is the author of monuments to Abai, Shokan Valikhanov, Zhambyl Zhabayev, which are distinguished by the integrity of the image and plastic structure.
He was awarded the Red Banner of Labor, the “Badge of Honour”, the Order “Parasat” and medals.

7 years ago 28 historical-archaeological complexes were discovered on the territory of the planned construction of the Aktau-City. The complex inluded more than 80 valuable historical monuments.
Sites and settlements dated bach to the Eneolithic and Bronze ages, burials and religious complexes of the Bronze, earlier Iron and the Middle Ages. Settlements Koskuduk-1 and Koskuduk-2 are the main monuments of the cattle-breeding epoch’s expansion along the territory of Kazakhstan in the Aral-Caspian region.
During archaeological excavation remains of the unique religious-burial construction Baskuduk-1 was discovered. In addition, archaeologists found place of burial of Kypchak youth dated back to the 11-12th centuries. Near the foundation of the construction a Muslim grave of the 12-13th centuries was discovered.
