Junior research fellow, senior research fellow, scientific secretary of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR (1946);

Externally graduated from the Faculty of History of the Kazakh State Pedagogical Institute named after Abai (1947);

Scientific secretary of the Department of Social Sciences, the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR (1948);

Head of the Department of the October revolution and civil war in Kazakhstan, the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR (1950).

T.Y. Yeleuov  wrote many articles on the activities of M.V. Frunze, V.V. Kuibyshev, A. Imanov, V.I. Chapaev. He participated in the writing of the "History of the Kazakh SSR. The era of socialism ". One of the authors of generalizing regional papers "The Victory of Soviet Power in Central Asia and Kazakhstan", "History of the Communist Organizations in Central Asia." T.Y. Yeleuov was a managing editor and former of a number of documentary collections and collective publications.
Member of the Joint scientific session devoted to the history of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, the socialist age in Alma-Ata (1957).Supervised 8 Candidates theses.

He was awarded with the medals "For Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", "For the Defense of the Soviet Arctic" and others, Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR.
