GROSHEV Victor Andreyevich – an expert in the problem of the origin, development of irrigation and irrigated agriculture in Southern Kazakhstan and Semirech’ye region from the V B.C. to the XVIII century, Doctor of Historical Sciences (1997).
He graduated from the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov, Department of History (1965-1970);
Senior Assistant at the Department of Archaeology, Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography named after Ch.Ch. Valikhanov, the AS of the Kazakh SSR (1970);
Head of the irrigation unit of the South Kazakhstan complex archaeological expedition (KZhKAE) (1973-1990);
He was the main executor of the theme: "The Ancient and Medieval Irrigation in Southern Kazakhstan and Semirech’ye".
