The M. Gorky Russian Drama Theatre will present the premiere of “Scythian Queen Tomiris” on February 27, 2015 as a part of the celebrations of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.
In a press release the theatre said that the play will present a discourse on the situation when heavy burden of war had passed on to brave Scythian queen. The fate of her country and years of a long-standing struggle for people’s unity had made her stronger. And young Tomiris became the great queen. She represents today’s image of Kazakh nation. Having overcome external and internal threats she had managed to maintain unity of her country. She had made a stroke for history.
