On July 1, 1967 OJSC Almatykultbytstroy (former Trust Almatykultbytstroy) was established. It built a number of unique objects which are the pride of the city of Almaty. Among the most significant are airport building, State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Government building, hardware-studio complex, circus building, Museum of Arts named after A.Kasteyev, hotel Kazakhstan, a complex of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Hotel Almaty and etc.
In recent years Almatykultbytstroy being a major building contractor, has expanded the area of activity. It completed the construction of residence of the President, Independence Monument, office of ALSI and apartment houses as well as reconstruction of Central stadium and sports complex Dostyk in Almaty; in Astana it carried out the reconstruction of L.Gumilyov Eurasian University and so on.
