
To move across cross the Atlantic Ocean Kazakh sailors had to prepare more than thoroughly. For two months they stopped in France, where they had to fix two serious problems. The transition through the ocean they started from Canary Islands in March 25, 2008. April 15, the CAGS in Almaty received the message about the crossing the Atlantic Ocean, when Kazakhstan ship reached the beach in Barbados. Crossing the ocean in three weeks, Kazakhstan crew demonstrated restraint, self-discipline and will to continue the successful expedition. For the first time in history of Kazakhstan all members of sailing team will be awarded with Order of the “Polar Star” of third degree.
