In 2009 the opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. The monument was placed in Astana in the middle of the green square on the Tashenov street. It is made of bronze, and the pedestal — of granite. The height is 4,4 metres, weight — 5,5 tonnes.
