May 18, 2007 the Parliament of Kazakhstan adopted amendments to the Constitution that limits the power of the President by two terms. Besides the Parliament adopted amendments proposed by a group of deputies to eliminate restrictions on the number of presidential terms for Nursultan Nazarbayev.
