On 8 April 2015 the Department of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, hosts the international academic and practical conference on «The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and its role in consolidation of Kazakhstan society». The conference is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The opening ceremony starts at 11 a. m.
The conference is aimed at discussion of relevant matters in the sphere of ethnic policy, international interaction in the area of culture and forming tolerance in the age of globalisation.
The conference is organised with the aim to discuss the following topics:
— History of ethnic and demographic processes in Kazakhstan.
— Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan as a unique public institution.
— Scientific and guidance support of the work of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan: activity of departments and research centres of the institutions.
— International community and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
— World’s experience in the sphere of ethnic policy. Multiculturalism.
It is planned that the conference will be attended by various representatives of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, ambassadors, scholars, public figures, professors and staff of universities, research institutions, ethnic and cultural centres.
