On October 22, 2014 the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev announced that in 2015 the country will celebrate the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh statehood.
The Department of History, I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu State University, invites you to take part in "Kazakh Statehood: the Past, the Present and the Future" scientific and practical conference, devoted to the 550th anniversary of the establishment of the Kazakh Khanate. The dates of the conference have now been decided as 10 to 11 April 2015.
The conference is organised with the aim to discuss the following topics:
1. Kazakh Statehood through the Prism of Historical Processes.
2. History of the Kazakh Statehood in Folklore.
3. Constitutional and Legal basis for Kazakh Statehood.
Important submission guidelines.
Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers up to five pages of one-spaced text using 12-point Times New Roman Font with twenty-millimetre margins on all sides of the page and 1.25-santimetre indent.
1. The first line in the text should contain index of the UDC.
2. The title of paper should be justified, given in capital letters and indicated in bold.
3. Leave a blank line and type the name of author in bold font style.
4. Provide information on academic affiliation, the city of residence and e-mail of the author in italics.
5. Leave a blank line and type the main text.
All proposed papers should contain the results of relevant research and be important as a practical matter.
Electronic copies of reports should be sent at the e-mail below. Hard copies are accepted at the address below. Reports that do not fulfill the criteria mentioned above or sent after the deadline set by the guidelines will not be considered or returned to authors.

The deadline for submission of papers and abstracts is April 3, 2015.
The Organising Committee plans to publish accepted materials on a special issue by the beginning of the conference (with the resources of the organisers).
The expense of the participation in the conference (for transport, accommodation, meals, etc.) is covered by participants.
