The Institute of Geological Sciences named after K. Satpaev MES of Kazakhstan was established in 1940. Founder and first director was Academician Kanysh Satpayev. Today the Institute is a leading geological research center in Kazakhstan. The activity of the institute is to conduct fundamental and applied research.
