On January 6, 2012, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed the Law “On Space Activities”. The Law regulates public relations on space activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The present Law regulates public relations on space activities and defines the basic principles of space activities. The Space Activities are financed from the budgetary funds and other sources of money, which are not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Outer Space Activities," which is related to the Law "On Space Activities" and aims to bring them into the line with current legislation.
