April 4, 2011, at 10 o’clock, was a briefing of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during which the CEC Chairman K. Turgankulov announced the preliminary results of early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Based on operational data obtained from provincial, Astana and Almaty election commissions, the Central Election Commission established the preliminary voting results. The votes were as follows: For J. Ahmetbekov - 1.4 % of voters voted. For M.Yeleussizova - 1, 2 % of the voters. For G. Kasymova - 1.9 % of voters. For N. Nazarbayev - 95.5 % of voters. CEC chairman said that these are preliminary results not a final. as the protocols of territorial election commissions just started coming. For election legislation was given a two-day period. As for the final results, which were announced in April 3rd, based on election legislation, the Central Election Commission should set them based on the protocols of territorial election commissions no later than seven days after the election, i.e. no later than April 9, 2011.
