The “Bolashak” State program has been established on the initiative of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbaev to prepare personnel and to develop educational links with the leading foreign universities.
The “Bolashak” International scholarship,
established on the initiative of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.
Nazarbaev in 1993, at the present time continues to form competitive personnel
of the state, as press service of the Center of international programs reports.
The Head of state has been paying a special
attention on the “Bolashak” program for many years. In the article “Social
modernization of Kazakhstan: Twenty steps towards the Society of Universal
Labor” Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbaev notes that the issue about the
availability of educational services and spreading of the access of talented
youth from all country regions, and especial rural ones, to the “Bolashak”
program is still actual and important. This year the accepting of documents is
implemented for magistracy and doctoral candidacy programs, as well as for
scientific, pedagogical, medical and engineering-technical trainings. The time of
documents accepting are prolonged: from May, 14 to October, 1, 2012; and for
the category of entering without assistance – from May, 14 to July, 25, 2012.

The main tasks of the centre - a complex study of culture, history, economics and modern condition of states of the Asian region, research of the role and place of Kazakhstan in the system of interstate and political-economical relations with the countries of foreign East, research of Medieval and Ancient Turkic monuments of history and culture.
