The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States — the international organization uniting modern Turkic states, the main aim of which is the development of the comprehensive collaboration among states-members. The Turkic Council was created on 3 October 2009 in Nakhichevan, Azerbaijan. It comprised Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenia, and Turkey. 

On 3 October 2009 at the IX Summit of the heads of the Turkic speaking states in Azerbaijan the President RK Nursultan Nazarbayev made a suggestion on the creation of the scientific center with the aim of the research of the Turkic world. Thus, on 25 May 2010 in Astana in the Palace of Peace and Accord the Turkic Academy opened. The countries — founders are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. The aim of the given academy is the coordination and assistance in the scientific research on the history of the Turkic world, beginning with ancient centuries and till the modern times, the study of the Turkic language and literature, culture, also, the research of the general Turkic world on the basis of discoveries of unique sources and revelation of the role and place of Turkic states in the world area. The organization put the mission — to develop scientific and educational activity of the scientific associations of the Turkic people, in addition, to create conditions for the support and unification of the initiatives of the statesmen of the Turkic Speaking States. 

Because of that, on 4-5 September 2015 in Astana the Fifth meeting of the senior officials of the Ministries of Education of the Turkic Council and the Fourth meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Turkic Council will take place. 
Today, at the V meeting of the senior officials of the Ministries of Education of the Collaboration Council of Turkic Speaking States 26 heads of the educational branch of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and representatives of the Turkic Council are taking part. 
On 5 September, the IV Meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Turkic Council will be carried out. At the meeting the Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Aslan Sarinzhipov, Secretary-General of the Turkic Council Ramil Khasanov, Deputy Minister of Education in Azerbaijan Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science in Kyrgyzstan Adilet Bekbayev, Minister of National Education in Turkey Nabi Avdzhy. 

The members of the meetings will discuss a number of issues on the content of the programs and preparation of common Turkic textbooks in History (period till 15th and period from 15th to 21st c. c.), geography and literature. At the present, the textbooks are under development, and countries-members make their own suggestions to the review of the programs and content. Upon the completion of editing, the textbooks will be introduced into the school program. 
Later, the representatives of the countries of the Turkic Council will consider the program and financial side of the student exchange of secondary schools and universities. The Republic of Turkey will become the first state realizing the given project. Also, the heads of the educational branch will discuss conditions of collaboration among the Turkic Academy and the Council of universities of the Turkic-speaking countries and many other issues.
