Decree «On the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan» In accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Article 1 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 10, 1993 «On Temporary Delegation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the heads of local authorities additional powers» and the decision of the Supreme Council of 6 July 1994 «On the transfer of the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan»: 1. Establish that: Before moving to the Parliament and the Government of the Republic to Akmola, capital of Kazakhstan is Almaty; The location of the residence of the President of the Republic is Akmola and Almaty cities. 2. To organize the relocation of the higher and central government bodies in Akmola, a State Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, giving it for this purpose right coordination of central and local executive bodies. 3. Government of the Republic: - In order to accumulate extra-budgetary funds in the arrangement of the city of Akmola establish an extra budgetary fund «new capital»; - Prepare and submit to the President proposals for the provision of tax, customs and other privileges to investors participating in the building and development of the infrastructure of the city of Akmola; - Take other necessary measures to implement this Decree. 4. This Decree shall enter into force on the date of publication.
