7 years ago 28 historical-archaeological complexes were discovered on the territory of the planned construction of the Aktau-City. The complex inluded more than 80 valuable historical monuments. Sites and settlements dated bach to the Eneolithic and Bronze ages, burials and religious complexes of the Bronze, earlier Iron and the Middle Ages. Settlements Koskuduk-1 and Koskuduk-2 are the main monuments of the cattle-breeding epoch’s expansion along the territory of Kazakhstan in the Aral-Caspian region. During archaeological excavation remains of the unique religious-burial construction Baskuduk-1 was discovered. In addition, archaeologists found place of burial of Kypchak youth dated back to the 11-12th centuries. Near the foundation of the construction a Muslim grave of the 12-13th centuries was discovered.
