89 years ago Nauryzbayev Khakimzhan Yesimkhanovich was born. He isthe first professional Kazakh sculptor, one of the founders of national monumental art in the Republic, Prizer of the State Award, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Art of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, memeber of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was born in Kostanai region. Graduated from Kharkov Art Institute. Work experience: 1952-1954 — President of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan; 1961-1965 — member of the Committee on the Lenin Prizes; 1959-1965 — member of the board of the Union of Artists of the USSR, lecturer at the Almaty Art School. He is the author of monuments to Abai, Shokan Valikhanov, Zhambyl Zhabayev, which are distinguished by the integrity of the image and plastic structure. He was awarded the Red Banner of Labor, the “Badge of Honour”, the Order “Parasat” and medals.
