The exhibition dedicated to the monument Tamgali was opened in Almaty
The main objective of the traveling exhibition is the introduction of the residents of Almaty region with the rich cultural and historical heritage.

On January 25, the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical University, in connection with the popularization of the ancient petroglyphs "Tamgali", held an exhibition "The Famous Tamgali of the Independent country." Exactly ten years ago, UNESCO listed the steppe monument «Tamgali» in the World Heritage Site as the largest petroglyph landscape in the Kazakhstan, reports BNews.kz with the reference to the press service of the University.

  The genuine rarities, which were found in the excavations of steppe monument: ceramics, places of worship, were presented at the exhibition.

  The Deputy Director of the State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum «Tamgali» Almas Sarbasov and the Vice Rector of the educational unit of KazGosZhenPU Adlet Toybaev cut off the ceremonial ribbon of opening of the traveling exhibition.

  "The Kazakh land is full of ancient monuments. Historic Complex "Tamgali" is the cultural heritage of our country; the museum was recognized at UNESCO. I take this opportunity to encourage the compatriots to appreciate the historical and cultural heritage of their native land "- said A.Toybaev in his congratulatory speech.

  The exhibition displayed a variety of photos, which telling us of a bygone civilization from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. BC until the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The various tombs, camps, places of sacrifice, the ancient sanctuary, etc. The full palette of petroglyphs was presented on these pictures.
