The first congress of the Kazakhfilm filmmakers was held in 1963

In 1958, the Kazakhfilm union consisted of 9 people. In 1963, the number of members has reached 87 people. About 17 people were elected in the management of the Union. The favorite Kazakh moviemakers Shaken Aimanov, Yefim Aron, Abdollah Karsakbaev and Mazhit Begalin participated in the Congress.
