According to paragraph of Protocol extended meeting of the Interagency Working Group for the Study of national history, chaired by the State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan M.M. Tazhine by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Al- Farabi Kazakh National University established a Republic research center "Studying of traditional civilizations of Central Asia" at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Appointed director of the Center for the Study of the famous scholar of history of ancient Turkic tribes, doctor of historical sciences, professor, head of the history of Kazakhstan department Omarbekov Talas. The purpose of the Center is to develop the scientific problems of traditional civilization of Kazakhstan and Central Asia on the basis of historical and comparative analysis, and new methodological approaches in the context of a critical re-evaluation of methods of knowledge in the world historiography. The main objectives identify the specific characteristics of nomadic origin, formation and decay of evolving for thousands of years and the early medieval state formations in the ancient Turkic steppe that have had a major impact on the ethnogenesis of the many people of the world; determine diplomatic and trade-economic role of the Silk Road, its influence on the formation of social organization and the ethno-political structures ulus control systems of "Dasht-i -Kipchak nomads "; investigate the processes of formation ethnoterritory, tribal area that formed the Kazakh ethnicity, history of Eurasian toponymy, political and cultural aspects of the relationship with the nomads of the steppes and bordering sedentary nations of Central Asia; to identify the roots of ethnic and cultural base and civilizational identity of the Turkic people, the community and the continuity of the traditional economy and culture of the nomads of Central Asia, etc. The structure of the center is represented by the following sectors : 1. The historiography of traditional culture of Central Asia 2 . The history of the steppe empires of Eurasia 3 . Ethnogenesis of the Kazakh people 4 . The history of relations between the nomads of Central Asia and neighboring nations 5 . Social and ethno-cultural structure of traditional Dasht-i Kipchak society For the scientific development of 17 proposed projects on a variety of topics shows the work of the Centre. The main staff of the Centre consists of 38 performers, including 13 doctors, 16 candidates, 1 PhD, 6 PhD students, including the well-known specialists of the republic, as well as leading academics from the U.S., Japan, Turkey, China, such as Yulai Shamiloglu, Ahmet Tashsgil, Uyamo Tomahiko etc. Expected results Collect and systematize Kazakhs oral historiology materials, datas from the archives and libraries of Kazakhstan, CIS and foreign countries; Issue annual scientific collection titled " Orkeniet "; Publication of monographs connected with the history of ethnogenesis of Dasht-i Kipchak Turkic-speaking tribes; Publication of the periodical press and speech in the media, organizing online conferences, round-table discussions on the issues of traditional civilizations of Central Asia; Introduce scientific results and conclusions in the learning process in the system of secondary and higher education institutions: the creation of textbooks , electronic teaching materials, teaching aids, reading elective courses on nomadism and in common the traditional civilizations of Central Asia, publish workshops and chrestomathies.
