The KAZGOR is the oldest architectural organization, author of unique buildings and constructions in Almaty city and regional centers of Kazakhstan, Russian and other CIS cities.

In 2009 the opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The monument was placed in Astana in the middle of the green square on the Tashenov street. It is made of bronze, and the pedestal — of granite. The height is 4,4 metres, weight — 5,5 tonnes.

The term of office of the President N.A.Nazarbayev was extended until the inauguration of the new President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, elected on presidential elections, which was appointed by the parliament of Kazakhstan on 10 January 1999.
