To promote sound of symbolic of the country in 2006, the new national anthem was accepted. The patriotic song "Menin Kazakhstanym" (My Kazakhstan) popular among people became its basis. It was written in 1956 by Shamshy Kaldayakov on Zhumeken Nazhimedenov’s verses.
To give the high status of a national anthem to this song and more solemn sounding the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev finished the original text.
The parliament of Kazakhstan at a joint meeting of chambers in January 6, 2006 made appropriate amendments to the Decree "About the State Characters" and approved a new national anthem of the country.

On January 6 2010, the special artistic stamp
dedicated to the chairmanship of our country in the OSCE was put in a post
circulation by the JSC “Kazpost”. The gala cancelation of the postage stamp was
held in Almaty and it was attended by the Chairman of the Board of JSC
"Kazpost" Dauren Moldagaliev and advisor from the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Janat Zakieva.
This event is the next step after the introduction of the special notes and after opening the official website dedicated to the OSCE chairmanship.
Kazakhstan took over as the chairman of the OSCE on January 1, 2010.
The mark of the stamp was made with the use of photo-offset method in four colors, comb perforation, the nominal is 230 tenge. The artist is Daniyar Mukhamedjanov.

On January 6, 2012, the President of the Republic of
Kazakhstan signed the Law “On Space Activities”. The Law regulates public
relations on space activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The present Law regulates public relations on space activities and defines the basic principles of space activities.
The Space Activities are financed from the budgetary funds and other sources of money, which are not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Outer Space Activities," which is related to the Law "On Space Activities" and aims to bring them into the line with current legislation.
